AN A.C.E SPONSORED EDUCATIONAL PROJECT
The 12th edition of the i.n.v.e.n.t Leadership Summit centred on the theme “Ethical Responsibility: Guiding Tomorrow’s Leaders Right,” addressing the pressing need for ethical leadership among today’s youth. The summit brought together over 1,205 students in Lagos and 1,130 virtual participants from various states, including Ondo, Ekiti, Abuja, Nasarawa, Oyo, Enugu, and Ogun. The diverse audience included students from both public and private schools, emphasising the summit’s broad appeal. The event aimed to instil ethical values and prepare young leaders to navigate future challenges with integrity.
A standout segment of the summit was “Against All ODDS,” presented by Mr. Bola Obanubi, Director of Action for Change and Empowerment. This segment was designed to inspire participants to overcome obstacles and achieve their dreams. Mr. Obanubi shared impactful stories of success through collaboration and networking, highlighting the importance of building strong connections. He stressed that “there is might in network; your network will shape and define your path to greatness.” His message encouraged the youth to leverage their networks as a vital resource for personal and professional growth.
The summit also featured compelling keynote addresses and interactive panel discussions. Mrs. Angela Emuwa, chairperson of Punch Newspaper, delivered a powerful keynote speech, and other speakers like Michael Abiodun and Dr. Patrick Okpah provided practical insights into ethical leadership. The event emphasized storytelling to engage and connect with the audience. Additionally, the summit introduced a Mentorship Programme, which pairs students with professionals for a three-month virtual mentoring experience across five states. This programme aims to equip young leaders with real-world knowledge and skills, fostering a generation of ethical and impactful leaders.
