Action for Change and Empowerment (ACE) successfully conducted a first aid box distribution drive for the Oyo State Road Transport Management Authority (OYRTMA), as a part of their commitment to supporting traffic management agencies in emergency response and officer safety.
The ACE team, warmly received by OYRTMA’s management, including the Chairman and General Manager, presented ten first aid boxes, with the Chairman acknowledging their importance and raising the issue of ambulance rehabilitation.
This initiative was met with positive feedback, recognizing the need for such equipment and further support in areas like ambulance services. Recommendations for ACE include the continuation and potential expansion of this initiative to other regions, considering support for ambulance rehabilitation as per OYRTMA’s suggestion, and engaging in training and sensitization programs to boost traffic safety awareness.
The successful distribution in Oyo, alongside Lagos and Ogun states, highlights the positive reception and potential for extended collaboration and enhancement of safety measures in traffic management across Nigeria.
